Graceful Journey Vision & Philosophy

At Graceful Journey, there is one primary mission: To support and enhance the transition of families from pregnancy to postpartum in DC, Maryland, and surrounding areas.

I believe birth is one of the most natural, physiological processes the body does. It proves just how uniquely, yet purposefully our bodies were designed. Birth belongs in the hands of the birthing person. A pregnant person has a right to know the options available to them in order to make the best decisions for their body, their baby, their birth. Every decision should involve full and complete knowledge to the birthing person in order to make informed decisions with informed consent for the birth of their choice. A birthing journey looks different for each person and it is my goal as your doula to support you as your birth experience unfolds and leave that experience feeling heard, respected, supported and empowered.
